Jake Berger

Partner | Private Business and Family Advisory & Tax Advisory

Jake’s focus is on income tax advisory, assisting his clients with problematic and complex tax questions which arise. Jake’s extensive experience representing clients in negotiations with the Tax Office has assisted his clients in reaching favourable outcomes. He is heavily involved in providing tax training for the firm and more broadly, at external events through the Tax Institute and other training organisations. From his years of experience, Jake is able to marry complex tax issues with commercial realities, ensuring that any advice provided is commercial. Jake believes that truly understanding a client is more important than ever as “too many advisors get fixated on the immediate issue before them but forget the wider importance. Forming strong relationships with clients allows an advisor to have a holistic understanding of a client’s affairs and provide real value.”
